IIM CAT 2021: Minimum Marks Eligibility Criteria Removed, New Guidelines Released

IIM Ahmedabad has changed the eligibility criteria for Common Admission Test 2021. Along with this, the CAT committee has also removed the minimum percentage of marks required to appear in the exam. As per the changes made in CAT eligibility criteria by IIM Ahmedabad, candidates having “Promoted/Pass” instead of “Award of Marks” certificate in any one of the last two years for Bachelor courses can enter “Promoted or Pass” option in the application form. can. This will allow the candidate to complete and submit the CAT 2021 application form. This eligibility relaxation is also applicable to those final year students who get “Awards of Marks” certificate.
Please note that this exception is available only for applicants who are completing their bachelor’s degree this year or in their final year bachelor’s program (graduation years – 2021 and 2022).

Universities “Promotion / Pass” certificate issued
According to the institute, in the last two years, universities and colleges have changed the assessment criteria for evaluation of students due to the pandemic. It is worth noting that the examination was not conducted this year due to the corona pandemic and the students were promoted, universities have issued “Promotion/Pass” certificates instead of “Awards of Marks” certificates.
The CAT Center received many queries from the candidates regarding their candidature due to the “Promotion/Pass” certificate given in the last two years of their Bachelor programme, therefore, the committee has introduced certain exceptions for CAT 2021 registration.

Minimum percentage of marks has also been removed
It is worth noting that considering the various evaluation patterns adopted by various universities across the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CAT committee has also removed the minimum percentage of marks (45 percent and 50 percent) to appear for CAT 2021 exam. Have given.
