Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced a recruitment drive for a total of 7035 vacancies under SSC CGL 2020-21 Recruitment to fill up various Group B and C posts in Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of the Government of India. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination from August 13 to 24.
There are 4 levels of exam for SSC CGL 2020-21 Recruitment. Candidates shortlisted in Tier-1 exam can appear for Tier-2 exam, which consists of four papers, out of which Paper 1 and 2 are compulsory. The exam to be held in August will be the first of the four selection tests, on the basis of which the commission will select candidates to fill 7,305 vacancies.
February The number of vacancies was increased in 2021
SSC CGL 2020 notification was released in December 2019. During that time the commission had announced to fill more than 6000 vacancies. In February 2021, the commission released an updated vacancy list in which the number of vacancies was increased to 7305.
Through this recruitment drive, a total of 500 Auditor, 400 Divisional Accountant posts will be filled through this exam in the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. At the same time, a total of 1216 Central Excise Inspector positions will be filled in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). In the Central Board of Direct Taxes, 1085 posts of Tax Assistant will be filled. SSC CGL 2020 admit card will be issued in the last week of July.
Candidates should note that this is the 2020 edition of SSC CGL exam. The 2021 edition of the exam has not been released yet.
