Schools-colleges and technical institutes have been opened for class 12th students in Gujarat from 15 July 2021. Significantly, a significant decline has been registered in the new cases of Kovid-19 in Gujarat. That is why here the state government has started classes with 50 percent capacity in colleges and technical institutions apart from class 12th.
Puducherry had decided to reopen all government and private schools for students of classes 9 to 12 from July 16. Announcing that Chief Minister N Rangaswamy had said that all the colleges in the Union Territory will also reopen from July 16. However, now this decision has been withdrawn. The government has said that they have taken this decision keeping in mind the health of the people.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has given a big statement regarding the opening of schools in the national capital Delhi. During a conversation with the media, he expressed the apprehension of the third wave and said that schools will not be opened here yet.
Schools have opened in Uttar Pradesh since July 1, but students have not been allowed to attend schools. In fact, schools in the state have been opened for academic work and only teachers and non-teaching staff are allowed to come to the school. The Haryana government had announced on July 9 that schools would reopen with social distancing from July 16 for classes 9 to 12. If the situation remains normal, schools will be reopened for other classes. Whereas schools for classes 6 to 8 will reopen from July 23. However, online classes will continue and students who want to continue taking it will be allowed to do so. Also students will be allowed to come to school only after obtaining written permission from their parents. At present, schools from classes 1 to 5 will remain closed in the state and any decision regarding reopening them will be taken later.
Schools from class 9 to 12 will be opened in Chandigarh from July 19. However, the consent of the parents will be necessary to come to the school. During this online classes will also continue.
In Maharashtra too, schools from class 8th to 12th have opened from July 15, 2021. However, the government has given permission to open schools in the same areas where there has not been a single case of corona for the last one month.
The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to reopen schools in the state from August 16. Only online classes are going on here.
The Uttarakhand government is planning to reopen colleges and universities in areas where Covid-19 cases are relatively slow. As reported by TOI, Uttarakhand Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat has said that, “We are looking forward to reopening colleges and universities in the district where Kovid-19 cases are less.” Let us inform that this year, the Uttarakhand government had opened colleges and educational institutions in the month of February but later the physical classes were suspended due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Madhya Pradesh State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that from July 25-26, schools will be opened with 50 percent capacity. Along with this, the Chief Minister has said that if the situation remains under control, soon schools of lower classes will also be opened.
