30 new A350-900 aircraft have been ordered by IndiGo, India's largest airline. This brings their total wide-body aircraft order to 60. The planes will be equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, known for fuel efficiency and reliability. IndiGo aims to expand its capacity and open routes for long-distance flights, including to the USA. The airline currently has over 400 aircraft and operates more than 2000 daily flights to 90+ domestic and 40 international destinations. IndiGo holds a 63% market share in India and plans to double its capacity by 2030. In Q1 of FY 2025-26, IndiGo reported a net profit of ₹2,161 crore, down 21% year-on-year.
