New Delhi, September 25, 2025: Renowned electrical engineer and researcher Dr Pravin Sankhwar has been awarded the Exceptional Leadership Lifetime Achievement Award 2025 for his pioneering contributions to power distribution systems and electric vehicle (EV) research. The recognition follows a series of global honors he has received in recent years, including the Global Recognition Award, Titan Award, and Stevie Award in 2024.
Dr Sankhwar’s research focuses on the transition to 100% electric vehicles by 2052 in the United States, proposing innovative solutions for managing modern energy demands. His patented DC power distribution system aims to eliminate energy losses during AC-DC conversions, offering resilient solutions for both urban and rural power networks. One of his designs has already been implemented at Moti Mahal Mandapam in Kanpur Dehat to create a reliable power system.
A graduate of Malaviya National Institute of Technology (2011) and later Michigan Technological University, Dr Sankhwar has contributed to India’s energy sector with HPCL and advanced global infrastructure projects with WSP USA Inc. (2018–2025). He is also a licensed professional engineer and a Principal Member of IEEE Standards Association, shaping international power system design standards.
Beyond research, his books on electric vehicles and electrification are widely read in US libraries and praised by Indian and international critics. His insights into rural electrification, EV charging hubs, and safety frameworks are considered critical for India’s EV adoption goals under Make in India.
Speaking on his achievements, Dr Sankhwar said: “Electrical safety at the workplace is of prime importance, and when designing systems, extreme care must be taken to eliminate hazards. For young professionals, consistency and continuous learning are the keys to innovation and success.”
With this latest recognition, Dr Pravin Sankhwar cements his place among the leading voices in global power distribution and EV innovation, offering solutions that bridge energy efficiency, safety, and sustainable growth.
