The horror movie Weapons, starring Josh Brolin, has earned $207.4 million worldwide in less than 20 days since its release on 8 August 2025. It surpassed Disney's Snow White, which collected $205.6 million in its entire run, despite Weapons having a much smaller budget of $38 million compared to Snow White's $240 million. Weapons made $119.4 million in North America and $88 million internationally. It is now the 13th highest-grossing Hollywood film of 2025 and the 11th post-COVID horror movie to cross $200 million globally. The film tells the story of seventeen students who mysteriously vanish on the same night. Weapons also recorded the third biggest third Tuesday for a horror movie with $2.2 million. This strong box office run highlights its popularity and success worldwide. (Updated 28 Aug 2025, 19:38 IST; source: link)
