In the latest episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Abhira is arrested for Anshuman's death. She pleads to meet her daughter Maira, who misses her mother and questions Armaan. Armaan lies that Abhira is at a conference. Vidya refuses to accept Geetanjali as Armaan's wife, causing a family argument. Krish and Tanya try to make life hard for Abhira, believing she killed Anshuman. Armaan becomes Abhira's lawyer and learns the truth. Abhira reveals Anshuman called off their wedding because he knew she loved Armaan. She and Anshuman had tried to meet Armaan, but he had already married Geetanjali.
