Vecna remains a dangerous presence, planning to kidnap multiple children from Hawkins and take them to a realm reflecting his own disturbed psyche and childhood home. Vecna's Sinister Plan Unveiled Through Holly Wheeler

Holly Wheeler, played by Nell Fisher, introduces Mike to her supposed imaginary friend Mr Whatsit, whose name references the cosmic guardian from the 1962 fantasy novel A Wrinkle in Time. She believes this friend will save her from Hawkins' monsters. Episode 2 reveals that Mr Whatsit is actually Vecna's human form, Henry Creel. Vecna, portrayed by Jamie Campbell Bower, plans to kidnap several Hawkins children, including Holly, and transport them to a realm he created that mirrors his psyche and childhood home. Meanwhile, Will discovers his visions allow him to see through the eyes of beings Vecna targets via the Upside Down hive mind, helping the group track the villain's movements and locate Holly.
