Filmmaker Anil Sharma, a close family friend and collaborator of the Deol family, shared emotional memories of Dharmendra's final days. The legendary Bollywood actor passed away on 24 November at the age of 89, leaving the film industry and fans worldwide in deep sorrow. Dharmendra had been admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital earlier in November after experiencing breathlessness. He was discharged on 12 November and appeared to be recovering at home. Sharma recalled visiting him and finding the veteran star responsive, moving his hands and opening his eyes. Medical professionals were optimistic about his recovery, describing him as very strong. However, his condition unexpectedly worsened in the following days. The beloved 'He-Man of Bollywood' spent his final moments with family, just days before what would have been his 90th birthday on 8 December.

Sharma Recalls Hopeful Signs Before Dharmendra's Passing
Speaking to Vickey Lalwani, Anil Sharma described his visit to Dharmendra's home after the actor's hospital discharge. He found the veteran star showing positive signs of recovery, opening his eyes and moving his hands. Doctors told the family that Dharmendra was a very strong man and assured them he would bounce back. Even during hospitalization, recovery seemed likely. Everyone remained hopeful and planned to celebrate his upcoming birthday. However, Sharma acknowledged that age eventually takes its toll and cannot be fought. Despite all the optimism, Dharmendra's condition deteriorated unexpectedly. Over his six-decade career, Dharmendra remained one of Bollywood's most enduring stars. He is survived by his wives Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini, and children Sunny, Bobby, Esha, and Ahana Deol.
