The remastered version of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali The Epic returned to cinemas on October 31 with high expectations and achieved a record-breaking opening for an Indian re-release. However, after completing its first week in theatres, the film has struggled to maintain momentum and has not yet crossed the ₹50 crore mark at the domestic box office. The compilation film, which merges Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, features Prabhas in dual roles alongside Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Rana Daggubati and Nassar. The re-release received a complete audio and visual overhaul before hitting screens. Despite a strong start, weekday collections dropped significantly, with the film now competing with other successful re-releases like Tumbadd and Sanam Teri Kasam for the title of highest-grossing re-release in India.

Weekday Collections Show Sharp Decline
After an impressive opening, Baahubali The Epic witnessed a sharp 70% drop on its first Monday, earning only ₹1.85 crore. Collections continued to decline through the week, with Tuesday bringing in ₹1.95 crore and Wednesday adding ₹1.55 crore. Thursday marked the lowest single-day collection at just ₹1 crore. The total domestic earnings now stand at ₹30.70 crore. While the film was initially projected to earn ₹50 crore in its opening week, it is now closing in on surpassing Tumbadd's ₹30.50 crore and Sanam Teri Kasam's ₹33.18 crore to claim the record for the highest-grossing re-release in Indian cinema history.
