Renowned choreographer Shiamak Davar has confirmed his involvement in the upcoming mythological epic Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. During a conversation with Instant Bollywood, Davar revealed he is choreographing the ambitious two-part project. When asked if he would recreate the magic of his iconic work in Dil Toh Pagal Hai, he clarified that Ramayana will be something entirely different, which is precisely why he took on the project. The choreographer, famous for making India dance to memorable tunes and running popular dance classes across the country, is bringing his creative vision to this eagerly awaited cinematic retelling of the ancient epic. The first part is scheduled for release during Diwali 2026, with the second part following in 2027. The film also features Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey in important roles.

Shiamak Davar made his entry into Bollywood by choreographing Dil Toh Pagal Hai in 1997, directed by the late Yash Chopra. His groundbreaking work continued with Taal in 1999, which redefined dance sequences in Indian cinema and established new standards for choreography. Beyond films, Davar has gained widespread recognition through his dance classes attended by countless students throughout their childhood years. He has also showcased his talent on international platforms. When discussing his involvement in Ramayana, Davar emphasized that this project represents something completely different from his previous work, stating that the uniqueness of the film motivated him to join the production.
