Renowned choreographer Shiamak Davar has officially confirmed his involvement in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming mythological epic, Ramayana. The film features Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi in lead roles. During a conversation with Instant Bollywood, Shiamak revealed he is choreographing the highly anticipated project. When asked if he would create something similar to his iconic work in Dil Toh Pagal Hai, he clarified that his current project is the Ramayana film starring Ranbir Kapoor. He emphasized that this venture will be very different from his previous works, which is why he chose to be part of it. The two-part epic retelling will see Ranbir as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. The film also includes Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey in significant roles. Part one is scheduled for a Diwali 2026 release, with the second installment following in 2027.

Shiamak Davar made his Bollywood debut choreographing Dil Toh Pagal Hai in 1997 for late filmmaker Yash Chopra. He gained widespread recognition across India for his dance classes that many attended during their childhood. His choreography in Taal (1999) redefined dance on screen and established new standards for the industry. Beyond Bollywood, he has performed and choreographed on global stages. His confirmation of working on Ramayana marks a significant addition to the film's creative team. Shiamak expressed excitement about the project, stating it will be very different from his previous work, which motivated him to accept the assignment. His involvement adds another layer of anticipation to the mythological epic.
