Shooting for Kartik Aaryan's upcoming film Naagzilla has officially begun. The production house Dharma Productions, led by Karan Johar, released videos and pictures from the muhurat ceremony held on November 1. The ceremony featured Kartik Aaryan, Karan Johar, director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and the entire team performing traditional rituals. A motion poster revealed Kartik in a striking look with snakeskin-like texture on his back. The project marks another collaboration between Kartik and Dharma Productions. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on August 14, 2026. Kartik shared the news on social media, noting that Naagzilla's first shooting day coincided with the one-year anniversary of his previous hit film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Besides Naagzilla, Kartik has other projects lined up, including an Anurag Basu romantic drama and another Dharma Productions film with Ananya Panday.

The video showed Kartik Aaryan, Karan Johar, and director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba performing traditional prayers before starting the shoot. The clip ended with a motion poster displaying Kartik's back in a shirtless pose, featuring snakeskin-like markings on his skin. Background audio included Kartik saying viewers have seen enough human movies and should now watch one about snakes. Kartik himself posted a photo holding a clapboard, smiling widely. He highlighted that Naagzilla's first day aligned with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 completing one year since release. The film will arrive in cinemas on August 14, 2026.
