Director SS Rajamouli's remastered film, Baahubali: The Epic, premiered in select theatres on October 30 and released nationwide on October 31. This special edition combines both Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) into a single viewing experience. The original films had a combined runtime exceeding five hours, but the remastered version has been trimmed to 3 hours and 44 minutes. Box Office Performance Surpasses Original Hindi Release
Baahubali: The Epic earned an estimated ₹4.46 crore net in India on Sunday, completing its opening weekend with ₹22.56 crore. This collection officially surpassed the Hindi version of Baahubali: The Beginning, which had collected ₹22.35 crore during its opening weekend. The film opened with ₹9.65 crore after earning ₹1.15 crore from premieres. Despite positive audience response, Saturday witnessed a dip to ₹7.3 crore net. The remastered film accumulated ₹31.40 crore worldwide in its first two days, registering the highest opening for any re-release in India. Sunday recorded a 50.50% occupancy in theatres. The coming days will determine the film's overall performance.
