Despite strong on-screen chemistry with numerous co-stars, Shah Rukh Khan and Tabu have never worked together in a complete film. Their brief appearances include moments in Saathiya (2002), a cameo in Main Hoon Na (2004), and the iconic song Deewangi Deewangi in Om Shanti Om (2007). Fans have long hoped to see the two share extended screen time. On Tabu's 54th birthday on November 4, 2025, just two days after Shah Rukh's 60th birthday, her past comments about this missing collaboration resurfaced. During an interview with Galatta India a year ago, Tabu addressed why they have not appeared in a full-fledged movie together. She clarified that as an actor, she lacks control over casting and production decisions. Both stars have likely refused projects over the years, but timing never aligned for a shared film. Currently, Shah Rukh is preparing for King, while Tabu will appear in Bhooth Bangla.

Tabu Explains Missing Collaboration With Shah Rukh Khan
During her conversation with Galatta India, Tabu explained that she has no control over film decisions. She stated, "I am not a producer, I am not a director, I am not a scriptwriter, I am really not dictating who Shah Rukh Khan works with." She added that she can only accept or decline offers presented to her. Tabu acknowledged that both actors have likely turned down projects, but circumstances never aligned for their paths to cross professionally. She expressed respect for fans who desire to see them together on screen. While no collaboration exists currently, Shah Rukh is working on King with Suhana Khan and others, while Tabu will appear alongside Akshay Kumar in the horror comedy Bhooth Bangla.
