Shah Rukh Khan has hinted at the possibility of reprising his role as G.One in a sequel to the 2011 superhero film Ra.One. During a fan meet celebrating his 60th birthday in Mumbai, the actor reflected on the film's significance and why it remains close to his heart. Ra.One, directed by Anubhav Sinha and co-starring Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor Khan, was Bollywood's ambitious attempt at a video game-inspired superhero saga. Though it performed well commercially, SRK felt it did not fully achieve his vision of inspiring a new wave of visual effects-driven cinema in India. He believes the film would be better received today, given the widespread familiarity with smartphones, gaming, and technology. Khan expressed openness to collaborating with Sinha again if the timing feels right, noting that creating such a film would be easier now.

Shah Rukh Khan Open to Ra.One Sequel with Director Anubhav Sinha
During his 60th birthday celebration at Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir Auditorium in Bandra, Shah Rukh Khan met over 300 fans and discussed the possibility of a Ra.One sequel. He emphasized that only director Anubhav Sinha, who created the original vision, could helm the project again. Khan noted that both worked extremely hard on the film and suggested that modern technology would make production easier now. He believes today's audiences are far more familiar with gaming, visual effects, and smartphones compared to 2011, making the film's themes more relatable. The actor did not confirm any concrete plans but left the door open for a future collaboration if circumstances align properly.
