Shah Rukh Khan reveals one Bollywood career advice he gave Suhana Khan and Aryan

2 min read

Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 60th birthday on November 2 with a grand fan meet-and-greet in Mumbai, though he skipped his traditional wave from Mannat due to safety concerns. During the event, the actor opened up about various topics including his upcoming film King, his National Award win, and his children Suhana and Aryan Khan, who are both now working in Bollywood. Suhana made her acting debut with The Archies in 2023, while Aryan recently made his directorial debut. When asked about career advice for his children, Shah Rukh shared his philosophy of letting them find their own creative paths without imposing his experience as a burden. He also discussed Aryan's initial hesitation about directing and his encouragement for his son to follow his instincts. Fans are now eagerly anticipating Shah Rukh's appearance in Siddharth Anand's King, releasing next year.

Letting Creative Minds Follow Their Own Path

Shah Rukh Khan revealed he avoids giving excessive advice to his children, actor Suhana and director Aryan. "I don't tell them much because I think there is not much need to tell anything to creative people," he explained. With 35 years in the film industry, Khan acknowledged he carries significant baggage and doesn't want his children burdened by expectations of following his guidance simply because he is Shah Rukh Khan. He shared that both Suhana and Aryan work independently on their projects, occasionally seeking his opinion on specific aspects. He provides his viewpoint when asked but ultimately tells them to do what they believe is right. When Aryan hesitated about directing, Shah Rukh encouraged him, believing writers who direct their own work become better filmmakers.
