A tragic road accident occurred near Chevella in Rangareddy district, Telangana, on Monday, claiming 19 lives and injuring 22 people. A tipper lorry carrying gravel collided head-on with a public transport bus approximately 50 km from Hyderabad. Among the deceased were 13 women and one girl child. Both vehicle drivers also died in the crash. The gravel spilled onto the bus, trapping several passengers inside, requiring extensive rescue operations. In response to this tragedy, the film industries expressed solidarity. The production teams behind Naga Chaitanya's NC24, directed by Karthik Dandu, and Balakrishna's NBK111, directed by Gopichand Malineni, postponed their scheduled film announcements. Both teams issued statements on social media mourning the loss and extending condolences to affected families. Director Anil Ravipudi also shared condolences online. The Cyberabad Police Commissioner stated that investigations would determine the exact cause of the accident.

Following the Chevella tragedy, the teams of two major Telugu films deferred their planned updates. The NC24 team, featuring Naga Chaitanya and directed by Karthik Dandu, postponed revealing Meenakshi Chaudhary's character poster, originally scheduled for release. They issued a statement expressing deep sadness and extending heartfelt condolences to bereaved families while wishing speedy recovery to the injured. Similarly, the NBK111 team, starring Balakrishna under Gopichand Malineni's direction, held back the announcement about the female lead planned for 12:01 PM. Their statement conveyed deepest sympathies and prayers to affected families. Director Anil Ravipudi also posted condolences on social media. Both production houses stood in solidarity with the victims during this difficult time.
