The first phase of voting for the Bihar assembly elections concluded successfully. A total of 121 seats across 18 districts participated in this polling phase. Voters displayed remarkable enthusiasm, with many travelling to polling stations using horses, buffaloes, goats, and boats to cast their votes. Women and elderly citizens showed particularly high levels of excitement and participation in the democratic process. However, reports emerged from 4 districts where local residents boycotted the voting process. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar cast his vote at Bakhtiyanpur, while Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav voted together at a polling booth in Patna. The youth turnout was notably strong throughout the day. Polling booths witnessed long queues as citizens exercised their franchise. This phase covered multiple districts including Darbhanga, Madhepura, Saharsa, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, and Siwan among others.

The polling process covered key areas including Darbhanga, Madhepura, Saharsa, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, and Siwan constituencies across Bihar.
