The District Election Officer and District Magistrate of Nalanda, Kundan Kumar, conducted detailed inspections of key dispatch centers to review election arrangements. He visited two major centers: the 171 Asthawan Dispatch Center at Pairu Mahto Somri College and the 172 Bihar Sharif Dispatch Center at Sogra High School. During these visits, he examined the storage and security of election materials, facilities for polling staff, and logistical support. He directly interacted with polling personnel to understand ground-level challenges and ensured no inconvenience would hamper their duties. The District Magistrate emphasized strict adherence to Election Commission guidelines and highlighted the need for timely, organized preparations. He instructed officials to maintain vigilance over multiple aspects including security arrangements, vehicle parking, sanitation, drinking water, and proper distribution of electronic voting machines to polling stations.

Key Instructions for Election Officials

While addressing the officials present, the District Election Officer issued important directions covering several critical points. He stressed special attention to polling staff comfort, material distribution, security measures, logistical support, proper entry and exit arrangements at vehicle parking areas, availability of drinking water, toilet facilities, cleanliness, and appropriate arrangements for party matching procedures. Kundan Kumar emphasized that all preparations must be completed in a timely and well-organized manner. He insisted on strict compliance with Election Commission guidelines to ensure peaceful, impartial, and transparent elections. Senior officials from the district administration, including the Sub-Divisional Officer and Deputy Collector of Land Reforms, Bihar Sharif, attended the inspection and assured full implementation of the directives.
