The Election Commission had questioned him about his speech. In Muzaffarpur, chaos erupted at a Chirag Paswan rally when attendees began throwing chairs after he arrived five hours late. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP leaders attacked Rahul Gandhi, claiming his presence guarantees Congress losses. Rajnath Singh Attacks Opposition, RK Singh Alleges Power Scam
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh told voters in Banka that Bihar must decide between development and the past era. He accused RJD of repeatedly promising jobs but never delivering. Singh mentioned the Pahalgam attack, stating India responded based on actions, not religion. Separately, former Union Power Minister RK Singh accused the Bihar government of a 62,000 crore rupee electricity scam involving the Adani Group. He claimed land was provided to Adani at rates far below market value and that the power purchase agreement was inflated. Singh alleged the deal should have been at 2.75 rupees per unit but was agreed at 4.16 rupees per unit. He demanded a CBI investigation into the alleged irregularities involving state ministers and officials.
FIR Against Lalan Singh, Chaos at Chirag Paswan Rally
An FIR was registered against Union Minister Lalan Singh after his controversial remarks during campaigning in Mokama. The Election Commission had questioned why action should not be taken against him. Singh defended himself, saying his comments were misinterpreted and that he only asked villagers to prevent a local strongman from intimidating poor voters. In Muzaffarpur's Paru, a rally by Chirag Paswan descended into chaos when he arrived five hours late. The crowd grew restless and began throwing chairs at each other. When Paswan finally arrived, the crowd broke security barriers and rushed the stage. He could only speak for five minutes before the event ended abruptly due to the uncontrollable situation.
