Anganwadi workers in Borna panchayat of Gogri block, Khagaria district, organised a voter awareness programme ahead of the upcoming general elections. The initiative aimed at educating citizens about their voting rights and encouraging maximum participation in the polls scheduled for 6 November. Under the guidance of Beena Kumari, the women supervisor of Gogri, the anganwadi workers and helpers visited the area to reach out to different groups of voters. They focused particularly on senior citizens aged above 60 years, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. The team urged everyone to make voting a priority by using the slogan 'First vote, then refreshment'. Several anganwadi workers including Shahrenaz Praveen, Asma, Lalita Devi, Mamta Sushma, Raunak Khatoon, and Afreen Bano participated actively in this awareness drive, emphasising the importance of participating in this national festival of democracy.
