On Kartik Purnima, thousands of devotees gathered at the Ganga ghats in Patna for the holy bath and worship rituals. The celebrations caused massive traffic disruptions across the city. Roads stretching up to 3.5 kilometres witnessed severe congestion, with vehicles moving slowly and school buses stuck in the chaos. Key affected areas included Digha AIIMS, Patliputra Road, Atal Path, Horse Race Road, and Digha Chowk. Patna Municipal Corporation prepared around 30 ghats across five zones with three-layer barricading for safety. Similar scenes were witnessed in Danapur, where devotees chanted 'Har-Har Gange' at multiple ghats. Traffic police struggled to manage the rush. According to religious belief, bathing in the Ganga on this day brings the merit of an entire year of holy baths and destroys sins. Astrologer Pandit Rakesh Jha highlighted the spiritual significance, stating that donations and lamp offerings on this day bring manifold blessings.

Traffic Jams and Administrative Preparations
The influx of devotees resulted in severe traffic jams across Patna. Vehicles were stuck for nearly 3.5 kilometres on Digha AIIMS and Patliputra Road. School buses were also trapped in the congestion. Other affected roads included Atal Path, Horse Race Road, and Digha Chowk, where traffic moved at a crawling pace. In Danapur, the main route near Gandhi Maidan faced similar gridlock as lakhs of devotees headed towards Fakkad Mahto Ghat. On the Patna-Bakhtiyarpur State Highway, a 2-kilometre jam formed from Raipura to Maujpur. Patna Municipal Corporation arranged 30 ghats across Bankipur, Pataliputra, Patna City, Azimabad, and Nootan Rajdhani zones. Three-layer barricading was installed, and police worked hard to restore normal traffic flow.
