2 min read

Congress Member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi campaigned in Bihar's Aurangabad on Tuesday, November 4, making controversial statements about representation in India. He claimed that 10 percent of the population controls the armed forces and top companies, while 90 percent comprising Dalits, backwards, and minorities have no representation. Gandhi alleged that among India's 500 biggest companies, no one from backward or Dalit communities holds leadership. He also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing them of vote theft and failing to provide employment to Bihar's youth. Gandhi questioned why Bihar's youth build cities like Dubai and Bengaluru but cannot develop their own state. He criticized Modi's Chhath Puja observance as drama for votes, alleging the Prime Minister bathed in a swimming pool instead of the Yamuna river. Earlier on November 2, Gandhi held rallies in Begusarai and Khagaria, and later joined fishermen to catch fish in a pond.

Claims About Armed Forces and Corporate Control

While addressing a public meeting in Kutumba, Aurangabad, Rahul Gandhi stated that India's armed forces remain under the control of the top 10 percent population, referring to upper castes. He explained that 90 percent of Indians belong to Dalit, Maha-Dalit, backward, extremely backward, or minority communities. Gandhi challenged people to examine the list of 500 largest companies in India, claiming they would find no representation from backward or Dalit communities. He alleged that all top jobs, positions in armed forces, and corporate leadership belong exclusively to the upper 10 percent, while the remaining 90 percent have no representation anywhere in these crucial sectors of national importance.

Attacks on Modi and Nitish Over Governance Failures

Rahul Gandhi accused Nitish Kumar of not actually running Bihar's government, claiming Modi controls everything from Delhi. He alleged that while land is unavailable for common people, the government provides plenty to Adani and Ambani. Gandhi claimed Modi and Nitish cannot win without vote theft through the Election Commission. He reminded people that Modi's 400-seat target failed, and without vote manipulation, the INDIA alliance would have formed the central government. Gandhi criticized Bihar's youth for migrating to other states for labor due to unemployment gifted by Nitish and Modi. He questioned why Bihar's youth who built Dubai cannot develop their own state, recalling when Nalanda University was a global education center attracting students from Japan, Korea, and England.
