He was riding his bike to duty after leave when an animal suddenly appeared, causing him to lose balance. Severely injured, he was admitted to BHU. After his death, family brought the body to Rohtas for post-mortem. Police gave a salute at the police lines. Singh was the second of eight siblings and had no children.
