A 20-year-old youth named Dhalai Saday drowned in the Western Kosi canal near Laukahi market on 27 Aug 2025 around 11 am. He had gone out for nature's call and possibly to get water when his foot slipped into the canal. The canal was full of water, and he is still missing. The local panchayat head, Ghooran Yadav, said they are searching for him. His family is very upset. To avoid such accidents, be careful near water bodies and avoid slippery edges.
