Gautam Adani-led Adani Defence & Aerospace has announced its intention to participate in India’s Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program by submitting an Expression of Interest by September 30. The AMCA, designed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and developed by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), is a twin-engine, fifth-generation stealth multirole fighter aircraft. It is designed for air superiority, ground-strike, suppression of enemy air defenses, and electronic warfare missions. The aircraft aims to replace the Sukhoi Su-30MKI, currently the backbone of the Indian Air Force fighter fleet. The AMCA features low radar cross-section and supercruise capabilities, making it a significant advancement in India’s indigenous fighter aircraft development.
