Saralnama₹1 lakh led to a double murder in Bihar's Sitamarhi district. A father-in-law, Aklu Mahto, paid two men to kill his son-in-law Dilip Kumar. Bhola Ram and Bikau Ram carried out the murder on 16 Aug. They also killed Rajesh Paswan, who arrived at the scene. The killers lured Dilip to Koili village, where they drank alcohol before attacking him with an axe. Police arrested the two killers and Aklu Mahto. They recovered the murder weapon, bike, and clothes used in the crime. SP Amit Ranjan revealed that Dilip had been selling family property cheaply to fund his vices, angering his father-in-law.
