Danish Malewar scored an unbeaten 198 runs for Central Zone against North-East Zone in the Duleep Trophy quarterfinal on 28 Aug 2025 at BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground. This was his first Duleep Trophy match and his career-best score. Malewar, who made his first-class debut in 2024, helped Central Zone reach 432/2 by the end of Day 1. He formed strong partnerships, including 144 runs with Aryan Juyal and 199 runs with Rajat Patidar, who scored 125. Malewar’s innings included 35 boundaries and was his fifth fifty-plus score in just four first-class games. He had earlier impressed in the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy final, scoring 153 and 73 to help Vidarbha win the title. Malewar’s batting average now stands at 65.4 with 981 runs in 10 first-class matches.
