It integrates radars, missile batteries, electronic warfare, and command centres into one network. The Steel Dome aims to reduce Turkey's reliance on foreign suppliers and boost defence exports. Erdogan also inaugurated a $1.5 billion defence technology base, expected to open in mid-2026, to support future projects.
