SaralnamaThe Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati started the GATE 2026 registration on 28 August 2025. Candidates can apply online at gate2026.iitg.ac.in by entering their Enrolment ID and password. The last date to apply without a late fee is 28 September 2025, and with a late fee, the deadline is 9 October 2025. The exam will be held on 7, 8, 14, and 15 February 2026. Results will be announced on 19 March 2026. Eligible candidates include those in the third or higher year of their degree or who have completed degrees in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities from recognised institutes in India or abroad. The application fee is ₹1,000 per paper for reserved categories and ₹2,000 for others during the regular period, increasing to ₹1,500 and ₹2,500 respectively during the extended period.
