Patidar hit 18 fours and 2 sixes, reaching his 14th first-class hundred. He came to bat after wicketkeeper Aryan Juyal retired hurt and reached fifty in 42 balls. At tea, Central Zone was 314/1 with Patidar unbeaten on 111 and Danish Malewar on 132. Patidar’s performance boosts his chances for a middle-order spot in the Indian team.
