On 27 Aug 2025, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and DMK MP Kanimozhi joined Rahul Gandhi's 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The yatra, started on 17 Aug, aims to highlight voter list issues ahead of Bihar elections. Stalin spoke in Tamil, supported the INDIA bloc against alleged voter deletion by the Election Commission. However, BJP criticized Stalin's visit, recalling past DMK leaders' remarks against Biharis and Sanatana Dharma, calling the visit a political stunt. BJP demanded Stalin apologize and challenged him to repeat those remarks in Bihar. Other parties like Jan Suraaj also opposed the visit, citing disrespect to Bihari identity. The yatra will end with a rally in Patna on 1 Sep. (Updated 28 Aug 2025, 14:58 IST; source: link)
