Imran Khan Criticises PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi for Pakistan Cricket DeclineSaralnama

Former Pakistan Prime Minister and cricket captain Imran Khan criticised Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi for "destroying" cricket in Pakistan. Imran made these remarks during a recent meeting with his sister Aleema Khanum at Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, where he has been held since [August 2023. He compared Naqvi's impact on cricket to the damage caused by Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, saying both are harming the country. Imran vowed not to bow down to political opponents despite imprisonment. Pakistan cricket faces many problems, including frequent changes in coaches, players, and selectors since 2021, and a reduction in Test matches. PCB officials recently held a long meeting in Lahore to address these issues and plan to revive cricket academies and make long-term appointments to improve the sport within a year.
