SaralnamaShamita Shetty, sister of Shilpa Shetty, debuted in Bollywood with the film Mohabbatein alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Manoj Bajpayee. Despite her family connections, she did not receive special treatment and faced many challenges, including several films that never released. As good roles became scarce, Shamita pursued a course in interior design in London and started her own design company, Golden Leaf Interiors. She designed projects like a Mumbai club and won awards for her work.
