Spying Stars, produced by Nila Madhab Panda and directed by Vimukthi Jayasundara, is the only Indian co-production in the new competition section at the 30th Busan International Film Festival. The festival runs from 17 to 26 September 2025 in Busan, South Korea. This new competition has 14 films competing for awards like best film and best director. Spying Stars tells the story of Anandi, a biotechnician quarantined during a pandemic on Hanuman Island. The film explores themes of technology, fear, and inner freedom.
