Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty, and Dhruv Kapila-Tanisha Crasto advanced to the pre-quarterfinals of the BWF World Championships 2025 held in Paris on 27 August. Sindhu won her Round of 32 match against Malaysia's Karupathevan Letshanaa in straight games 21-19, 21-15 after a strong comeback in the first game. The men's doubles pair Satwik-Chirag defeated the Chinese Taipei duo Liu Kuang Heng and Yang Po Han 22-20, 21-13. The mixed doubles team Dhruv-Tanisha also won easily against Ireland's Joshua Magee and Moya Ryan 21-11, 21-16. These wins helped the Indian players enter the Round of 16.
