Aaryavir Sehwag, son of former India opener Virender Sehwag, made his Delhi Premier League debut on 27 Aug 2025. Playing for Central Delhi Kings, the 17-year-old opened the batting and scored 22 runs off 16 balls. He hit consecutive boundaries against India pacer Navdeep Saini and spinner Rounak Waghela. Aaryavir replaced Yash Dhull, who was rested for the match. Though his innings was brief, his confident batting impressed many. His younger brother Vedant Sehwag plays for West Delhi Lions in the same league. Aaryavir said he now understands his father's cricketing skills better after playing professionally for a few years.
