On 27 Aug 2025, Khagaria Vigilance Bureau caught revenue employee Satyendra Singh accepting ₹20,000 bribe. Singh demanded ₹1 lakh for land mutation work but agreed to ₹30,000 after negotiation. Complainant Guddu Kumar informed the bureau, which set a trap near Helenadhar bridge on the road to Jheema village. Singh took the money and was arrested on the spot. A six-member team led by DSP Vikas Kumar Srivastava conducted the operation. Singh is under questioning and will be presented in the special court in Bhagalpur. The investigation continues.
