Ganesh Chaturthi 2025 will be celebrated on 27 August across India. The festival honours Lord Ganesha, the god of wisdom and remover of obstacles. Devotees install idols at homes and pandals and perform prayers. Music plays an important role in the celebrations. Popular Ganpati songs include “Jai Ganesh Deva,” a calm devotional song, and “Deva Shree Ganesha,” a high-energy track from the film Agneepath. “Morya Re” is often played during the visarjan procession when idols are immersed in water. The fun song “Suno Ganpati Bappa Morya” is popular among youth. The soulful bhajan “Sukhkarta Dukhharta” is sung during morning and evening aartis. These songs bring devotion and joy to the festival.
