Cheteshwar Pujara retired from all forms of cricket in August 2025. The BCCI gives pensions to former players based on matches played and level. Pension amounts rise with age, especially after 60 years. The pension does not increase every year but is revised sometimes. Recently, BCCI raised pensions to help players with inflation. Test cricketers now get ₹60,000 per month, up from ₹37,500. First-class players get ₹30,000, up from ₹15,000. Senior players receive ₹70,000 instead of ₹50,000.
