Indian left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed thanked Irfan Pathan for helping him after his hernia surgery. Khaleel said he had to start from zero, including learning to walk again. Irfan Pathan spent a lot of time coaching him on bowling skills. Khaleel also got advice from Zaheer Khan to improve his red-ball cricket. He is working hard on fitness and learning to swing the ball late. Khaleel wants to become a regular player for India and is patiently waiting for his chance. He last played for India in July 2024 and is part of the Central Zone team for the Duleep Trophy 2025. Khaleel said he focuses on his body care and recovery to bowl many overs in multi-day cricket.
