At the US Open 2025 on 26 Aug, Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek won their first-round matches easily. Sinner beat Vit Kopriva 6-1, 6-1, 6-2 in Arthur Ashe Stadium. Swiatek defeated Emiliana Arango 6-1, 6-2 in just one hour without facing a break point. Swiatek said playing in New York is tough because of the loud crowd. Coco Gauff had a harder time and struggled against Australia's Ajla Tomljanovic. Alexander Zverev also won his match and will face Jacob Fearnley next.
