Ravichandran Ashwin retired from the Indian Premier League on 27 Aug 2025. He ended a 17-year career in IPL, playing 221 matches and taking 187 wickets. Ashwin played for Chennai Super Kings, Rising Pune Supergiants, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, and Rajasthan Royals. He was bought by CSK for ₹9.75 crore in 2025 and played his last match for them. Ashwin thanked the IPL, BCCI, and all teams for the memories. He retired from international cricket in December 2024. Ashwin plans to explore playing in other cricket leagues around the world.
