UP Governor Anandiben Patel Urges Students to Increase Reading Habit

Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel spoke at the 10th convocation of Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur. She urged students to develop and increase the habit of reading. Patel said knowledge should be used for the welfare of society and the nation. She compared this to a tree that bends after bearing fruit, dedicating its benefits to people. The governor also asked universities and students to help children in villages to read and gain knowledge. She highlighted the role of universities in rural development, farmer welfare, and youth support. Patel released the university newsletter and books by teachers. She gave degrees and medals to students and researchers. She mentioned that Power Grid Corporation of India is building a women's hostel at the university using CSR funds.
