India and Pakistan agreed to a full ceasefire on 10 May 2025 after four days of fighting. The ceasefire started at 5 p.m. IST following talks between their military leaders. Both sides stopped all military actions on land, air, and sea. The United States and several countries helped in the ceasefire process. However, some ceasefire violations were reported later. The two countries have not yet agreed on peace talks about other issues. The United Nations welcomed the ceasefire as a positive step toward peace and reducing tensions. Despite the ceasefire, some restrictions like visa suspensions and border closures remain. The situation is still fragile, and long-term peace talks are awaited.
