Three batters scored centuries in the same ODI innings only five times in history. The first time was in January 2015. Hashim Amla scored 153 not out off 142 balls. Rilee Rossouw made his maiden ODI century with 128 runs off 115 balls. AB de Villiers hit a fast 149 off 44 balls after coming in the 39th over. Together, Amla and Rossouw put on 247 runs for the first wicket. West Indies scored 291 for 7 in 50 overs. Bowlers Jerome Taylor and Jason Holder were expensive. Other batters like Dwayne Smith and Denesh Ramdin got starts but did not convert. Dale Steyn was the best bowler with 1 wicket for 29 runs in 10 overs. Morne Morkel and Vernon Philander took two wickets each. This rare feat shows how batting has become easier in modern ODI cricket with flat pitches and high scores common now.
