Veteran Kannada Actor Dinesh Mangaluru Dies At 55

Veteran Kannada actor and art director Dinesh Mangaluru passed away at 3 am at his residence in Kundapura, Udupi district, at the age of 55 after a prolonged illness. He had been battling health complications following a brain haemorrhage and stroke suffered while filming Kantara, which led to hospitalization and incomplete recovery over the past year. Dinesh was known for his notable role as the Bombay underworld figure in the film KGF: Chapter 1 and had a strong background in theatre and art direction, contributing to several Kannada films. Born in Kundapura and a longtime Bengaluru resident, he is survived by his wife Bharati and two sons, Pawan and Sajjan. His body will be transported to Bengaluru for public viewing at his residence in Laggere on Tuesday morning, with final rites scheduled at Sumanahalli crematorium the same day. The family has not officially disclosed the cause of death.
