In the early hours of Saturday, a group of four masked minors vandalised vehicles in Mithanagar, Kondhwa, Pune, smashing windows of three autorickshaws and two cars, causing panic in the neighbourhood. The incident occurred around 1 am when the group arrived on a two-wheeler and attacked parked vehicles with sharp weapons. Autorickshaw driver Atiq Ahmed Shaikh and local resident Mirza Sami were among those affected, with Sami escaping injury by ducking inside his car. Kondhwa Police have taken three minors into custody and are searching for the fourth. Senior Police Inspector Vinay Patankar stated the minors had personal disputes and targeted vehicles in anger. The police are investigating the case further, having filed charges under relevant sections of the law based on CCTV footage and complaints lodged by victims.
