Odisha NEET PG 2025 round 1 allotment out; top 2 candidates grab general

The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) Odisha has released the round 1 allotment results for NEET PG 2025. The top two candidates have secured admission to the general medicine course at SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack. Allotment letters will be available for download from November 28, and selected candidates must report to their assigned colleges between November 29 and 30. A total of 372 seats for MD and MS programmes were offered by state-run medical colleges. Currently, 41 PG and DNB seats remain vacant across various disciplines and categories. The central government recently sanctioned 62 additional PG seats across six state medical colleges for the 2025-26 academic session, further expanding postgraduate medical education opportunities in Odisha.

Vacant Seats Across Medical Colleges

A total of 41 seats remain unfilled after the first round of Odisha NEET PG counselling 2025. These vacancies are distributed across prominent institutions including SCB Medical College Cuttack, VIMSAR Burla, MKCG Medical College Berhampur, Hi-Tech Medical College Bhubaneswar, and Hi-Tech Medical College Rourkela. The vacant positions span multiple subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Community Medicine, Pathology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Anesthesiology, and Dermatology. These seats cover different reservation categories including Unreserved (UR), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PH), and Government College Hospital (GCH) quotas. Both PG and DNB courses have openings available for eligible candidates.
